Welcome to Higher Hacknell Organic Online Meat

The last harvest now is the apples and making cider for the farmhouse. We get friends and family in to help and they all need feeding! Usually its lots of our favourite homemade organic sausages and apple cake.
The next celebration, and we are counting down the weeks now - is Christmas. We have a great selection of Christmas organic meat, whether you choose our delicious free range bronze organic turkey, a goose or a stunning fore rib of beef on the bone. Don't forget the trimmings: chipolata sausages, sausagemeat, bacon and gammon joints which are all home made in our butchery.
2008 marks our 20th year of farming organically at Higher Hacknell Farm. where we have been producing quality organic beef, organic lamb and organic chicken in the heart of Devon since 1988. The organic meat is slaughtered locally and brought back to the farm butchery for hanging and cutting to your requirements.
With the colder evenings drawing in now, stewing and casserole cuts are proving popular again and the winter warmer and mixed boxes are excellent value saving you over 10%. Christmas is coming, so please order in good time as we have a limited supply. Thanks.

We now have an environmentally friendly alternative to the polystyrene delivery box which is biodegradable, recyclable and compostable! It is a new concept but using one of the oldest and most natural insulators - WOOL - from British hill sheep, washed and blended into insulation felt!

Organic Free Range Bronze turkeys £11.95 per kg - Delicious organic bronze turkeys which range in size from small 4kg-5kg (9lb-11lb), medium 6-7 kg (13-15lb) to large at 8 or 9 kg (16-20lb).
