Spiced Lamb Kebabs

Serves 4


  • 700g diced lamb
  • 150ml olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 tsp crushed coriander seeds
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 bay leaves, crumbled
  • Salt, black pepper
  • 2 limes, cut in wedges
  • Pitta bread


Cube the lamb and put in a shallow dish. Mix together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, spices, bay leaves and seasoning, then pour this marinade over the meat and mix well. Cover the meat and chill for around 12 hours (or whatever you have time for!) Thread the meat and wedges of lime onto kebab skewers, then brush with marinade. Barbecue or grill for approximately 10 minutes until the meat is cooked. Serve with pitta bread.
