How it Works
If we receive your order by 6pm on a Sunday, it is normally possible for you to receive the order on either Thursday or Friday the same week. Your order will be delivered to you, usually within a week or sometimes 2 weeks from the time that you place the order, depending on the day of the week you order. Although we try to delivery your meat as soon as possible it may take a little time because all our meat is properly hung and freshly cut for your order.
Following your order on the website, you'll receive an email confirming your delivery date. Your meat will be sent on a 'next day' courier service to arrive with you between 8am and 6pm on the expected day.
If your order has not arrived on time (usually we say by 4pm) on the expected day, please phone us on 01769 560909 as soon as possible so we can check what has happened and get it to you straight away.
On accepting delivery your signature confirms that the product has been received in good order. If you are not satisfied please contact us immediately.
Please make sure that we have your full address and contact details including postcode and contact phone number.
If you will not be at home to receive the meat, please let us know where it can be left, such as in a porch, garage or with a neighbour. It is possible to arrange delivery to a different delivery address such as your workplace or holiday address. Higher Hacknell meat can be sent as a gift and we can enclose a personal message.
Delivery costs £8.50 for orders up to £120 in value, £5.00 for orders between £120 and £200 in value and is FREE over £200.
We pack your order in an environmentally friendly cardboard Eco-Box with wool liners and ice pack to keep it cool .
Deliveries can occasionally be made on other days, such as Tuesday or Wednesday, or Saturday and at shorter notice by special arrangement. However this is not an option available online and would have to be arranged by telephone or email. .
The meat, except whole chicken, is vacuum packed or in trays (unless you prefer alternative packaging) and labelled, then placed inside ou insulated eco box with ice. If your require more information on packaging and re-using/recycling please contact us.
Our meat is delivered fresh ready for home freezing (or delivered frozen if required). Occasionally some cuts can be sent frozen, such as the pet packs, but this will be indicated on the label.
The prices quoted here for deliveries apply to most of mainland Britain. For some parts of the UK, such as the Highlands of Scotland, there may be a surcharge and a two day delivery. In these cases, we will inform you of the exact delivery cost before we prepare and ship your order, so please contact us if you want a delivery to any of these areas. I'm sorry but we do not deliver outside mainland UK, The Scottish Isles, Ireland or the Isle of Wight.
Minimum orders: Please note that we may not be able to accept orders under £30 in value (before delivery charge)
Christmas 2019 orders: we can deliver Christmas orders, including turkeys and geese from Friday 20th to Monday 23rd December. Please note that if you wish to have a weekend delivery or a pre 12 delivery on Friday 20th or Monday 23rd, select the premium delivery service. This service is £11.50 and is not reduced over £120 or £200 like our standard service. In the event of adverse weather conditions or circumstance beyond our control we cannot be held responsible if the couriers are unable to deliver at the specified time. At this busy time of year, they can run late. Please rest assured that we will be tracking all the deliveries and do our utmost to make sure your order gets to you. Please help us by making sure any delivery instructions are placed at the time you make your order.
